Happy Birthday, Barabelle

YES EXCELLENT, I still love that you included the parasol, as soon as I saw it I just imagined the tip planted firmly in the pile of skulls that she’s no doubt standing victorious on—the SKULLS OF HER ENEMIES WHICH SHE’LL BRING HOME TO HER BARBARIAN TENT TO DRINK FROM~ (Tea, of course. Perhaps Earl Grey. Or peppermint. She’s probably already contemplating the flavor.)It’s really cool to see a painted rendition of her; I like the square jaw and the definition you gave her cheek, they really add to the strong and proud figure she’s cutting! I also like the slight shadow around the waist indicating some bulk there, and of course the muscles—she looks completely confident. The texture on that fur cape really gives a sense of how fluffy it is with just those varying shades of brown spattered around in key areas, and the dark brown shadows that blend into the outlines really draw out the form of everything; the browns and green-grays give it an earthy feel, while the pinks accent and contrast with the other colors (reflecting the contrast in her own character haha). I love how dignified and haughty she looks, and the little sparkles next to the rough blocky lettering haha.Thank you so much for painting her for me, she’s beautiful!! I’m still amazed this got dragged out as long as it did ahahaa :’D

For $50, this tiny box will keep everything you do online anonymous

From National Security Agency spying to governments blocking portions of the Internet in times of unrest, recent controversies have demonstrated just how little freedom we actually have online
But what if there were a way to stay hidden 24/7 on the Internet, free from detection and censorship?
Meet this new Kickstarter project, anonabox | Follow @micdotcom

THIS IS INSECURE. DO NOT BACK THIS. The hardware is an off-the-shelf alibaba product that’s $20 a unit. The box’s root password has been easily cracked. The wireless SSHD is the same for every box, allowing one owner to easily attack other owners of the box. Worse still, it’s being marketed to protestors, journalists and whilsteblowers as a secure device, when actually it’s pea-brained configuration of tor that in some ways makes it easier to attack than if you were connected to a public wireless network. The creator of this device has lied about every stage of it’s inception and purpose.Wired did a good writeup of the discoveries here: http://www.wired.com/2014/10/anonabox-backlash/
